SDM is a Dutch-based charity created in 1994 to ensure the democratic ownership of the press in the Netherlands. In 2006 Max was contracted to provide a new system for the administration and management of applications for research and project grants distributed by SDM on behalf of its funders and donors. The system was designed and implemented in 3 months and went live in the summer of 2006.
